What is the differences between Dutch/geman/devils food cake, and other chocolate cakes?

don’t they all taste the same anyways
but chocolate taste the same all the way right

no, no ) chocolate never tastes the same!
and of chocolate cakes there are a lot of different types (different spices, ingredients and ways).
it is like coffee or wine, cheese or bread.
basically they are made in the same way, with similar ingredients, but there is a big difference in taste where and how the raw materials grow, the climatical conditions, what kind of plant, how it is processed ecc.
the same is chocolate and cocoa.
i live in germany and we can buy a lot of different types of chocolate, containing different percentages of cocoa up to 90% (more cocoa -more quality- higher price), from many different cocoa producing countries and chocolate made in Switzerland (the best), in France, in Germany etc.

Did you know that the cake internationally known unter the name “German chocolate cake” is American?
There is a big difference between it and the Original German Chocolate Cake that housewifes (like me:-) bake in Germany.
In Germany chocolate cake is simpler, it usually contains only flour, butter, milk, cocoa or liquid chocolate, eggs, few sugar and baking powder, no nuts or frosting and so on.
Devil’s food cake (funny name) is near our German Cake, but with white sugar and without cream and contains less calories.
